Daytona has been in operation for the last four decades producing good looking, smart athletic Quarter horses and now Paints.
Daytona Quarter Horse Stud principal,Jodie Ward,was born into horses,Her mother, Gail had been breeding and showing since she was 17 and it was her influence that saw Jodie develop her love of horses and the horse industry
Early in her youth,her mother was breeding Paint Horses and Jodie was riding a Sheltland pony.When she turned four,Gail bought Jodie her first Quarter Horse ,a grey gelding by the name of Doc Holiday.
Jodie entry in to the western arena as a competitor was rewarded by gaining many high point awards as a junior and then senior youth.perhaps Jodies most notable achievements as a youth were earned aboard a home bred self-trained horse,"Oakalena Doc".
